Peter Olaguez - 09/29/2008 I like it. Installing it was simple in theory but tricky in reality. The only tricky part is fitting the darn thing in the hole of the engine bay side wall. I wish I would have made the hole larger so the install would have been easier. I ended up with some minor scuffs/scratches in the paint of the intake. Other than that, working through the splash guard and engine bay was sufficient. I do think it would be a little easier if the bumper and fender are removed, however it would take longer. Other than that, the intake fits like a glove, a tight glove, but a glove nonetheless. The intake SUCKS! It SUCKS real hard. I really do mean it. You can hear the wrinkle red beast gulping up air like no other. You can actually hear the stock BOV pretty well (that's because its recirculating, back to the intake it goes). I would say GET IT! if you asked me. |
David Iliff - 09/25/2008 Another great APS product. recomend having car tuned or at least running stage 2. |
TJ Fry - 04/26/2007 Took my about an hour to install. Fitment was tricky at times, but once it's in there, it fits perfectly. The ECU seemed to stutter for a few moments while it got used to the new flow rates, but so far I haven't had any problems. the sound it makes is amazing, and it looks great as well. Rock on APS! |
Jason Perez - 04/16/2007 Took me no more than an hour to 30 minutes to install. Very nice sound and happy with my choice. Plan on going with APS for my intercooler & turbo upgrade on my sti. |
Ryan Peterson - 01/10/2007 Used this in conjuction with my APS DR725 Front Mount Intercooler. Fits nicely and tucks right in the fender like it's supposed to. The red finish on it matches the finish on the intake manifold on the STI. It even has the same texture. The filter is a K&N, i have cleaned it a few times now, it seems to get pretty dirty in the fender as it is. |
