For those of you 2006-2013+ WRX drivers who managed to remain relatively stock but need to replace the clutch, look no further. This is Exedy’s OEM replacement clutch which is designed almost identical to OEM specs, however you get the Exedy quality.

Comes ready with everything for you or your mechanic to install. Included is a new pressure plate, clutch disk, throw out bearing, pilot bearing, along with the alignment tool.

Please note that this clutch is not intended for race use, so keep the braaping down to a minimum. The 2005-2009 Legacy GT and 2006-2008 Forester XT models must use a 2006-2014 WRX flywheel for proper fitment.

just passed break in
thekamilosaurus59674 8 months ago
installed just over a week ago, just moved out of the initial 500 mile break in, planning on continuing to break in for another 500 for good measure. so far, feels good, pedal is still lighter than previous clutch, which was OEM and slipping at 90k. have pushed up an on ramp once so far, feels great. alignment tool served its purpose, throwout bearing operating normally. pilot bearing was missing from the packaging, as the box had a rather sizable hole in it. glad i had inspected all my contents before beginning the job. RSD responded quickly with excellent customer service. sent me a pilot bearing to complete the kit within a day of speaking to them about it. thanks RSD!

very nice

Great Combo!
budski79 2 years ago
My 2007 WRX TR needed a new clutch, and bought the OEM Exedy clutch and Exedy lightweight flywheel. What an improvement with this combo. I am able to race through the gears quicker, and have noticed a bit quicker throttle response. Two things to note: 1. The clutch pedal will fell different at first, way different. When I first started the car, the clutch pedal had no resistance. That made for an adventurous ride home, trying not to kill the car at stop lights. But after a week of the driving the pedal does get stiffer. I have noticed an off balance feel on two startups that made the car feel like a washer full of clothes that is off balance. The engine runs smooth again after a few seconds and a few blurps on the throttle. The installation of the flywheel is ok, and I think this might be due to the combination of the ECU measuring rotation on the crankshaft and lightened flywheel. (PS…I do not have any lightened pulleys, as I read the engine will out balance itself with a lightened crankshaft pulley and lightened flywheel.) 2. I have received the misfire codes P0303, P0302 & P0304, and PFFFF (the phantom misfire code) and have noticed no effect on performance. I simply plug my Cobb AP in and erase the code; all is fine. I have only notice the codes while shifting down in deceleration, and in the month and a half of having the new combo clutch and flywheel, the codes have only appeared on 3 occasions (P0303 & PFFFF came up in combination twice, and P0302 & P0304 & PFFFF in combination once). A fix I was told is to clean the camshaft sensor, which I did 2 weeks ago. I have not a code since, and cannot tell if this is coincidence or not. Of course a dyno tune will probably better remedy the situation. Again, I recommend the combo. The one main issue is the misfire codes, but in AP will take care of that (and better yet a dyno tune). Keep up the great work RallySport Direct!

I got my wrx with the clutch having about 65% life left, it sounded horrible. I got this replacement oem clutch and it is awesome. If you need a new replacement clutch and its for your daily driver I would absolutely recommend this product.

Great OEM replacement

Install is obviously a PIA but I'm pleased with this clutch. Seems like it doesn't require as much pedal as the original. I did the install nearly six months ago and have had no issues with my stage 2 11' WRX.

  • AnswerQ: Softer pedal  samf48 1 day ago

I have an OEM clutch that is going out and my biggest complaint is that, like all wrx's, the clutch pedal is like pushing a brick through the floor. Will this clutch lighten the pedal press or will it be exactly the same because it's "OEM". If not, what clutch/flywheel combo should I be looking at?

    • A: Honestly, the stiff pedal feel is present in all WRX clutches. This replacement will feel similar to your existing clutch.

Will this clutch fit a stock 2010 Subaru STI hatchback? If not, any suggestions?

    • A: No, this will not fit your STI. You will want part # EXE FJK1000.

  • AnswerQ: True OEM  TremendousWRX 5 months ago

On forums people with "deep knowledge" of Subaru and Exedy claim this is not just an OEM spec kit but is in fact the literal exact clutch kit that Subaru uses, as Exedy makes their clutches, just without the name (and without a couple hundred extra dollars). Do you know if for a fact this is truly the same clutch as the "Subaru" OEM clutch?

    • A: At this time there is no confirmation that this is a true OEM clutch.

  • AnswerQ: Clutch   ward001 5 months ago

I have 2013 wrx stage 2..my problem is when I'm doing quick accelerate my car is to slow to response and i smell my clutch burning.. question is do need a clutch to fix my problem...

    • A: Although the oem replacment clutches will likely handle stage 2, you may want to get something rated for higher torque. There is a number of issues that could be causing the clutch to slip/burn and you may want to have a mechanic take a look.
