This is a C.A.R.B. certified (2010+) Cobb Tuning SF Intake that replaces the restrictive stock intake system. This particular SF intake system was designed with several unique features in an effort to maintain optimal flow for performance while minimizing turbulence that can cause engine management problems.

From a custom conical cloth air filter element, a CFD-designed velocity stack leads to a unique air flow straightener grid design to smooth the incoming air flow as it passes the mass air flow sensor for precise readings.

Please note that all aftermarket intakes on 08+ Subarus require tuning regardless of manufacture. Cobb Tuning has off the shelf maps for the Accessport that will allow you to install, flash, and go.

These intakes feature a composite intake body for optimal heat rejection. Integrated velocity stack with integrated airflow straighteners. Post MAF, you will find 4-ply steel reinforced silicone. And enjoy a more aggressive intake tone under acceleration.

I love the HP gain with this SF Intake with the airbox. My Subie is in stage 2 and this intake give me a lot power plus the sound. I love the sound this intake give to my subie when giving gas to it. Quality and performance is pretty good. I highly recommend this to anyone that want to start modding the car. No issue so far, I have been using this for year and half and I love it. Install was very easy and fast.

Just like the other reviews awesome intake and sound can't tell if there's a power increase but definitely equivalent to stock if not slightly better. sound alone makes it worth the money

You will need a tune to run this intake. Also buy the combo with the Cobb SF intake a the box. This was an awesome upgrade! You will feel a big power gain over stock. You will also be able to hear your turbo way more. Sounds so awesome.

Addicted to the sound!

Bought this along with the COBB AP and boy was it a good purchase. Took less than 10 minutes to install with simple hand tools and to reflash with the AP. No need for a BOV either, the intake gives you the addicting sound your craving with the power you're expecting!

  • AnswerQ: 2015 WRX STI  MIke WRX STI 15 8 months ago

I seen the air box is it needed with this? If so whats the pros and cons? For the AP do i need to constantly have it in or can i just flash the map and remove? Thanks

    • A: The airbox is not required but the airbox does help shield the intake from the heat of the engine bay as well as debris. The Accessport maps can be flashed on your ECU then the tool removed.

I removed the stock air intake and there was another hose connected to that was the cabin air filter I think. Will I need to plug this hose up or just leave it as is

    • A: That is the symposer, it can be removed from the vehicle and plugged or just left open. COBB has updated instructions for the 2015 models in the link below. https://cobb.app.box.com/715315instructions

  • AnswerQ: Intake and AP  13WRX_FTW 9 months ago

I'm going to be purchasing The cobb sf intake system as well as the cobb AP. My questions is, What do I do first? install the intake then hookup the ap or hookup the ap and download the maps then do the intake.

    • A: You can install the Accessport as soon as you like, but when you install the intake you will need to flash the Intake map for the vehicle to run properly.

Getting an Invidia catless DP with this intake. Will a pro tune be required or will the cobb AP work?

    • A: We can only confirm Cobb's OTS maps for Catted Downpipes. So in this case, you would need a pro tune for this intake paired with a catless Downpipe.

  • AnswerQ: flash?  fromero54 11 months ago

I was just wondering if I need to flash my ecu to run this intake safely. Or if it's okay to run this intake with no tune/flash

    • A: A tune will be required to run this intake safely.
