CONFIRMED FITMENT

Universal Product This item is non application specific.
Please verify compatibility before purchase. May require some modification for proper installation.

Raise the boiling point of your coolant for increased cooling efficiency and prevention of overheating with the Prova High Pressure Radiator Cap. Utilizing a reinforced main pressure valve spring and silicon seals, the internal pressure of the radiator is increased, resulting in a higher boiling point.

When coolant boils, small air pockets are created. As the coolant passes through the block and radiator core, the air pockets reduce the cooling efficiency and will eventually cause the engine to overheat.

This cap will not fit the BRZ/FR-S twins.

Prova Cap is a Winner, will buy again!

Installed on my '95 Nissan 300ZX. The Prova 1.3 bar cap is a very handsome cap. The price is right, too. It's hard to find a better deal on a high quality cap with silicon seals. Natural rubber seals on cheaper caps are worthless. Rubber seals quickly harden and stop working. Where rubber seals fail silicon will keep a tight seal helping your cooling system work they way it should.

Slick looking cap

If you're going for a stealth, subtle or black engine bay, then this cap is a must. The increased pressure is an added bonus. I've never overheated in a Subaru, so the TRUE effectiveness of this product is untested by me. However, given Prova's quality, I'm sure this will do the job it promises.

  • AnswerQ: OEM Radiator  ScubaDriver360 2 years ago

I understand the aesthetic value enhancement, but are there any adverse effects having increased pressure resistance with a factory radiator (seems like a debatable subject on forums)? Planning to replace both on my '13 Hatch and wanted to verify it was worthwhile (from your more knowledgeable viewpoints) prior to acquisition.

    • A: There should be no negative effects from upgrading to 1.3 bar radiator caps with the stock radiator as long as it is in good condition. Increased pressure could cause a minor leak to get worse.

On some Subaru models, theres a 2 radiator caps. Should I replace both with this Prova High Pressure one or just replace one?

    • A: That is a very debatable subject and everybody has a different opinion with valid reasons for both arguments. I personally would replace both caps with the same pressure cap.
