COBB Tuning offers you the ultimate personal tuning solution for your WRX. Save time and money with the ability to conveniently reprogram your vehicle's computer (ECU) by selecting one of the pre-installed performance "maps" that automatically optimize settings such as the air/fuel ratio, ignition timing, boost and more for performance results you can instantly feel.
However, the AccessPORT is so much MORE than just a REFLASH DEVICE. It allows you to monitor fuel economy (average and real time), perform performance tests in order to estimate your 0-60mph and 1/4 mile time, read and decipher ECU trouble codes (CELs), and monitor live data via the OEM vehicle sensors which eliminates the need for aftermarket gauges.
This AccessPort will only work with North American ECU's.
Stage 1 Kit Includes:
- Quick Start User Guide
- USB Cable
- OBDII Connector
- Soft Case
Note - The 2008+ WRX/STI do not need to have the test connectors connected as stated in the instruction booklet to install the AccessPORT. These vehicles will automatically go into test mode thanks to the CAN BUS protocol.

Not much to say. Its an Accessport that is the key to further mods without having to always pay for protunes!

Def a first mod to buy with a downpipe. If you get pro tuned even better

If you want to make more power or go to stage two this is great but just make sure to get pro tuned down the line.. ( my opinion) the cobb map made my car run very rich, and was getting about 230 whp with (stage 2 cobb map) after a pro tune i was making 300whp conservatively, love the real time tuning and launch control, all is amazing, and its nice to be able to monitor boost etc. and log to send to my tuner if any issues arise.. great product just my two cents about making more power..
Make this your first upgrade!!

By far the best mod you can make for the money. Makes the most of anything else you do... and does it safely. I noticed a difference with the remapped stock alone. Once stage 1 was complete... passing in 5th gear at 3500 rpm is almost like you dropped down to 4th. Great fun!

This is a must have product! It is a way better tune then stock and you can keep an eye on things also. The best part about it is that if something happens you can alway re-install the stock tune because the system saves it.

Do I have to buy this item? If installed on my car cubb intake airfilter or any of that
A: The AccessPort is not necessary, but you will need this or a custom tune for most modifications including intake and downpipe.

What are the advantages of a custom tune vs a OTS map? Can I run a custom map with special Fuel and run an ots map when that fuel is unavailable?
A: A custom tune can be made to be more aggressive than the OTS maps, which will give you more power. A custom tune is also required for most mods past Stage 2. You can switch between a custom map and OTS maps depending on which fuel you are running.

Do I need Accessport when I install the sf intake? Or is there a way around it?
A: A custom or pro tune would be another option instead of purchasing the Accessport, but if you made any other changes in the future you would require another tune. At that point you are surpassing the price of the Accessport, which allows you to load maps yourself and not have to pay a tuner.

Im planning on buying the fallowing upgrades: 1)AEM Cold Air Intake 2)Invidia N1 Cat Back Exhaust Titanium Tips 3)Invidia Downpipe Catted Divorced Wastegate I was wondering will the AccessPORT have a map for it and if yes which one is it? will this mods be a stage 2 ?
A: This would be considered Stage2+intake. The +intake maps do not come pre-loaded, so you simply would just down load it off cobbs website
