Subaru Impreza
WRX 2002, 2003

When you are upgrading to a larger turbo or driving the car hard it is important to keep the air charge as cool as possible. Even though the stock intercooler is able to flow sufficient air, it is still only designed for mild driving and stock power levels.

When pushing the car hard, the stock intercooler will heat soak quickly and take a long time to cool back down. This causes the performance of the motor to decline and power to suffer. The Process West intercooler is a direct factory replacement that features a larger than stock core and lower pressure drop. These 2 features previously stated allow the intercooler to flow more air while reducing the amount of pressure that is lost over the surface of the intercooler. These features allow the intercooler to work better for longer and also allow a larger amount of air to pass through the core. The combination of these things will allow this intercooler to handle upwards of 400WHP. This Process West TMIC includes everything needed to make it a direct factory replacement.

Pricey Top Mount, but you will not be left disappointed. Dont rush into buying a TMIC, save another week or 2 and buy the Process West. Ive had several Different TMIC and PW is by far the best looking and best constructed TMIC Ive owned. Worth the price and worth the wait. Installed w/ Killer B Holy Headers.. 0 Complaints.. RallySportDirect hooked it up again.

Ultimate Top Mount Intercooler Kit!!!

This is an extremely well thought out intercooler kit by Process West. I am very impressed with the quality, attention to detail, fitment and how complete the kit is. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for and actually when you consider all that's included in the kit (splitter, silicone hoses, clamps, etc), the price is reasonable. The splitter fits very well and I like how I can keep my stock hood scoop for that sleeper look. The intercooler clears everything under the hood including the A/C lines and I can still check my transmission dipstick with that big core in there! I also wanted to say that Rallysport Direct is an excellent vendor. They have excellent customer service, fast shipping, and a really nice website.

Only problem Im having is that I stripped the bolt threading that is on the intercooler. I think they should have made that out of steel rather than aluminum :(.. but it still is a nice piece!

  • AnswerQ: Fitment difference   evaught4 2 months ago

I have an 02 Wrx with an 07 Sti swap in it. I was looking at the differences that you guys have for both. Is the only difference between the PWTMIC03 and PWTMIC04 the splitter?

    • A: This is likely the best fit for your vehicle but the intercooler cores do differ. This shroud is going to be the best fit with your vehicle's hood but there may be some modification required for the core itself on those mounts.

  • AnswerQ: Different splitter  Boxercide 3 years ago

Hi, I have a 2000 Impreza with an 02 WRX swap and I was wondering if it would be possible to purchase this intercooler with the JDM MY99-00 splitter instead of the 02-03 splitter.

    • A: Unfortunate no splitter is available for swapped cars.

  • AnswerQ: will this splitter fit  guest55c7ee97caae52f460972518 3 years ago

will this splitter fit on an 02 wrx with an 02-03 jdm hoodscoop?

    • A: The JDM hood scoop is taller than USDM and there will be a gap between the splitter and scoop. It should bolt up, but we cannot guarantee fitment.

  • AnswerQ: Updated splitter question  tempemail55c3be07caae52c4048b4e04 4 years ago

Im reading on some of the forums that PW offers an alternative splitter for those of us that have the larger scoop, Is that available @ RSD? I see its been a few years since this was asked.

    • A: We still not have seen a JDM Scoop bug eye specific splitter be released.
