Cosworth High Performance Multi layer steel head gaskets are designed to seal in power under the most demanding conditions.

Features:
Individual die cut layers of stainless steel with superior consistency compared to laser cut gaskets.
Pre-coated stainless steel with a 0.25 micron layer of nitrile rubber ensures consistent distribution of coating with no high or low areas.
Manufacturing dimensional tolerance of 0.002".
Die cut manufacturing process ensures smooth edges, unlike laser cut gaskets.
Cosworth gaskets feature a "stopper" sealing layer for additional torque around each cylinder. The width of sealing area is specific for each application thereby providing ultimate sealing properties.

  • AnswerQ: Better than thinner gasket?  PLN 33 11 months ago

Would this thicker gasket seal better than the other thinner cosworth gasket? Since other after market gaskets like grimmspeed's exhaust gaskets are thicker than OEM (7 layers as opposed to 3).

    • A: Thinner or thicker head gaskets will not have a difference in layers, it is the thickness of the metal gasket to provide clearance to the pistons from the valves or to alter compression slightly depending on the setup needed.

  • AnswerQ: Advantages?  Andrew Jarvie 2 years ago

What is the benefit of going with a thicker HG?

    • A: A thicker head gasket can decrease compression on a standard head and block. If either of these have been machined down you can make up for the loss of material with a thicker gasket as well to keep a close to stock compression.

  • AnswerQ: Size  04sti808 2 years ago

Will this gasket fit a stock set of heads? Will I need a different gasket if my heads are going to be machined?? Thanks!

    • A: This will fit stock heads with no issues on vehicles that are listed in the confirmed application listing.
