If you are installing a Wideband O2 sensor in your car and plan on keeping the stock one there to keep your ECU happy you will need to weld in a bung.

If you have a stainless steel exhaust system you will want a stainless steel bung.

Worked great for what I needed
Corby L. 4 years ago
I purchased these to use the plugs that came with the kit on my 1986 dodge omni. I purchased two of these, used both plugs and one of the bungs. I welded the stainless bung on to my mild steel 90 mm down-pipe and it worked great! I had to move my wideband o2 farther away from my turbo so I had to plug the existing holes. I would definitely recommend buying these if it's something you need.

  • AnswerQ: Innovative lc1  ferpo1893482 2 years ago

I want to get the lc1 eventually but I am going to have to pull my downpipe soon and want this done ahead of time is this the bung I want or the 1 inch bung?

    • A: The 1 inch bung is used to space the O2 sensor away from the exhaust stream and alter readings. This is going to work with the wideband O2 sensor, but the complete wideband kit comes with a bung as well.

  • AnswerQ: AEM UEGO + Invidia catless downpipe v2  PROcede 4 years ago

Is this what i need to have the AEM UEGO installed with my downpipe? I know i have to weld in a bung just not sure what kind of bung i need. Any advice?

    • A: This bung would be compatible for most aftermarket wide bands that are offered on the market. However please check the size of your sensor prior to ordering to ensure correct fit.
