Invidia N1 Review
cmullenski 7 days ago
GREAT exhaust. I installed the N1 catback with Cobb catted downpipe on my 2014 STI and could not be happier with the sound. It sounds like an Apache helicopter on cold starts. During cruising it sounds great, pretty loud but not too loud. Under WOT it sounds amazing as well. Overall, a great product and a great deal at $675 (I'd give it 6 stars for value if I could). Really brings out the boxer sound and the titanium tips look sweet. Install was quick and painless, required just a little fine tuning to get the tips to line up straight with the stock hangers. But, overall it bolted on in about 30 min up on a lift. As for performance, it's hard to tell much of a difference. Maybe a couple HP but no significant gains, the downpipe is what really helped me there. If you're still reading this, just click add to know you want to. Only concern was one of the tips had a very small bend in it, nothing major and I think it will come out easily with some heat and some TLC. I don't think RSD is responsible for that, it was prob UPS. BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT.

Great flowing exhaust

I used to have the Invidia Q300 exhaust which was great but restricted exhaust flow. Once I went stage 3 I decided to go with this exhaust and am very happy with the performance and flow. Mated with Killer B's EL header this exhaust sounds great, has loud drone around 3k rpm but overall the best flowing exhaust I have used on my sti.

Subie Rumble!!
logan.k.0438649 6 months ago
I absolutely love this exhaust! Was a little nervous when I first purchased it because I was worried it might be too loud for my neighbours and the police; however, for me it is perfect and I have had no problems! It is super deep and brings out the Subaru rumble. When accelerating hard or cold starting the car it is pretty LOUD but if it is just idling it isn't bad at all, keep in mind I also have a Invidia Catless downpipe. I installed it with a buddy in my garage and it wasn't to bad at all, the hardest part was getting the old exhaust off and unfortunately getting the exhaust tips to match up on the new exhaust was kinda tough. Overall for the price I would definitely buy this exhaust again and love the way it looks especially with the titanium tips.

  • AnswerQ: First mod ever!!  MR MATA LEON 3 days ago

This will be my very first mod ever... I just want to make sure that I have all the parts I need for this install (gaskets, hangers, nut, bolt, etc) please advise

    • A: If you are using the stock downpipe we recommend the OEM downpipe to 3" catback adapter that Grimmspeed manufactures as well as the Subaru OEM Donut gasket.

I was jw for who has this in there subie. if I just but this and get installed with a stock sti will it sound good? and is it just this that I have to buy? and how much will it cost me to get this done?

    • A: If you have a stock downpipe you would want to use a donut gasket and a stock downpipe to 3" catback adapter. Installation costs depend on the labor rate of the shop performing the work.

  • AnswerQ: Sound  08wrxnoob 11 days ago

I saw a previous answer about the sound comparison between the n1 dual catback and the nameless performace muffler delete. Were you refering to just the axle back with the muffler delete or the full catback with the muffler delete

    • A: The Nameless muffler deletes are designed to use the OEM midpipe. The comparison between the two would be for just the muffler delete and everything else OEM.

  • AnswerQ: Additional hardware  cmullenski 16 days ago

I just ordered this exhaust for my 2014 STI with Cobb downpipe. Will I need any additional hardware to install it? My car has about 11k miles on it and has never been modded, so any gaskets and hangers should be in excellent condition. thanks.

    • A: Cobb's downpipe is designed with a 2.5" flange at the catback connection point. To ensure a leak free install, we recommend GrimmSpeed's adapter (Part # GRM 077046). Gaskets will be included, but we also recommend upgrading the exhaust hangers to the polyurethane hangers we offer (Part # KAR KB-011-12MM) and you would need x5 to complete the set.

  • AnswerQ: Invidia n1 titanium tip 2012 Sti  Corey 2 months ago

I have the invidia n1 titanium tip exhaust on a 12 Sti and need to replace the gaskets for the 2 flanges before the mufflers. This is a 3 inch to 2.25 inch application correct? Any recommendations for the type to replace them with?

    • A: The two gaskets after the Y-pipe split are smaller than 3", they are going to be similar to Grimmspeed's universal 2.25-2.5" gasket which is part number GRM 020031.
