Not Impressed with the build quality on these cams
Ian 5 months ago
i fitted these cams during a full rebuild on my 2010 built cos-worth motor. Less than 1,000 km's later the pin on the driver intake side cam sheered off into the sprocket causing headache having to buy new sprocket etc and re-pinning cam. then 500 km later the passenger side exhaust cam pin has sheered off causing the same damage. WTF GSC .! Build quality reliability is not good on these cams.!!

will these work past 500whp into the 550whp range?

    • A: They will work past past 500 whp just fine, cams aren't necessarily rated for horse power marks. They are more to increase and extend your power band more towards the top.

  • AnswerQ: Potential Gains on all stock?  Printimus 2 years ago

What are the potential gains on a completely stock engine and do these cams require a tune afterwards?

    • A: These Cams require valve spring upgrades at a minimum. Do to the OEM turbo size i wouldnt suggest running the S1 cam with the stock turbo. You would be better served by these cams with an upgraded turbo capable of 400+ hp before you add the cams.

Greg @ GSC 2 years ago

    • A: On a completely stock car you can expect to gain around 20whp, depending on the custom tune, which is required. Upgraded cams are more beneficial with modifications that benefit from increased intake and exhaust flow.
